Business Manager, Jordan Adams, has made the following appointments filling vacant positions within Local 71 leadership, congratulations to our newest appointed leaders: Cathy Squartsoff – Board Member; Jesse Davis – Sargent at Arms; and John Walters II – Auditor.

Cathy is a Local 71 Member with Anchorage Parks who has served on the contract negotiating team with the Municipality of Anchorage. We thank her for her service as Sargent at Arms and welcome her counsel as a Board Member. Next time you see Cathy, thank her for all she does to keep our community beautiful.

Jesse, who has been serving as an Auditor, is an Operator with Alaska State Department of Military & Veteran Affairs on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER). Jesse will now take over the duties of Sargent at Arms for the Board at our Membership Meetings.  Introduce yourself to Jesse at the next meeting, he'd love to meet you.

John Walters II hails from Nome with the Alaska State Department of Transportation & Public Facilities.  We're grateful he has agreed to step into this role serving our members and representing our outlying communities. Thank you, John, for your commitment to the full membership through taking on these duties.
