JUNEAU, AK--- Randy Sutak has been named a Shop Steward for Public Employees Local 71 Bargaining Unit in Juneau.

Randy is an Equipment Operator Journey II employed with the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities in Juneau, Alaska

In addition to his skills in operating equipment, those who have attended our annual B-B-Qs know that Randy is also a “grill master extraordinaire.”

Randy brings with him a knowledge of the job and the region, but also an enthusiasm to increase two-way communication between the bargaining unit and the employer.

We are grateful for members like Randy who have answered the call to lead and are helping us build a full bench for leadership within Local 71. Business Manager for Local 71, Jordan Adams, said: “At its heart, the Union is only as strong as our members. When people like Randy make themselves available, we can invest even more in our success and get there together. We’ll be back at the bargaining table with the State of Alaska next year, and communication will be crucial. We’re glad we can rely on our stewards, like Randy, day in and day out.”
