Public Employees Local 71 Supports Anchorage Clothesline Project

Public Employees Local 71 cares about our community. We support the Anchorage Cops for Community Clothesline Project, and we want to help you contribute.

Our members support law enforcement every day. Our mechanics work on their vehicles, our maintenance and operations members keep our roads and airports ready, and we are often on the scene first when emergencies strike.

Now, we are collecting gently used and new back-to-school clothing, supplies, and services to be distributed to our neighbors in need on Saturday, August 6th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Clark Middle School, where our proud Local 71 custodians work.

How you can help:

  • Bring your clothes and supplies to our Local 71 HQ on Arctic Boulevard, send them with your Steward, or gather a load & we will come pick them up at your job site.
  • Click Here & join us at Clark Middle School on Tuesday, July 19th from 5:15 PM to 6:30 as we help sort clothes and get a free Local 71 shirt or hat!
  • If you can’t join us for the group session, click here to volunteer another time, and we’ll still give you a shirt or hat!
  • Spread the word on this project to help our neighbors!
