LOCAL 71 MEMBERS UPDATE: SOA BIWEEKLY PAY

Brothers & Sisters employed with the State of Alaska (SOA),
This is an update on the States intent to change from a semi-monthly pay schedule to a biweekly pay schedule for all employees.
Due to an unforeseen State payroll technical issue the State of Alaska was forced to cancel the Bi-weekly LOA planned for December 16th 2019.
The decision to move to a bi-week pay schedule was made in haste by the state and was not vetted for implementation before it was planned.
We share in your frustration and will keep you up to date as new information presents itself. It is our understanding that we will soon be working on a new LOA for a later date next year.
